How come your pricing is lower compared to the wedding shop and dry cleaners nearby?

As a top-tier online retailer of the Wedding Dress Preservation Kit, when you buy from us, you're getting it straight from the source without any extra markups. Our service mirrors what most boutiques and dry cleaners across America offer, but with the added convenience of direct delivery to your doorstep

Why's your warranty just a century while others promise a lifetime?

Our assurance beats any other preservation company out there. When we preserve your gown, our 100-year guarantee kicks in. So, if you get your gown preserved at 25, it's covered till you hit 125 - way beyond a lifetime guarantee. Plus, we're the only ones globally who've been preserving wedding gowns for over a century, ensuring our promise stands the test of time.

Does the box for the gown ensure it's acid-free?

You got it! The display box, preservation bust, and tissue paper are all free from acids, guaranteeing complete safety for your gown.

Does it make a difference how long I've had my dress before sending it in for cleaning and preserving?

No, Jess. Bridal gowns from the latter part of the 19th century have been preserved and restored by our team. The only time you'll run into a problem we can't fix is when encountering severe fabric rot or bug/pest damage. If your dress is over 100 years old, our Wedding Dress Restoration Kit is your best bet.

Will my dress fit in your preservation chest?

We offer three different box sizes, and we've never encountered a dress that doesn't fit perfectly in one of them.

Do I need to clean my dress before sending it in?

Nope, you don't have to. Every kit we offer includes our exclusive SYSTEMK4 delicate fabric cleaning process, designed to remove stains and any existing fabric yellowing.

I'm feeling anxious about sending my dress. Has anyone ever lost a dress in the mail?

Nope, we haven't had a dress go missing in transit yet. We've gone the extra mile to guarantee your gown's safety. It's fully insured, we've provided pre-filled shipping labels, and we require signature confirmation upon delivery. Plus, it's worth noting that many local dry cleaners send dresses out for cleaning because they often lack the necessary equipment and expertise

Can I remove my dress from the preservation kit when it arrives?

Once your dress is completely out of the Wedding Dress Preservation Kit, the 100-year warranty will be voided. However, you can still inspect your gown and view the hem without fully removing it, and we provide gloves for this purpose.

Nothing catastrophic, but it did require the customer service manager, Veronica, to reach out to rectify the problem before my order could be started. I appreciated her patience and willingness to work with me. I would highly recommend this company! The process is so simple...just as described on the website. Thank you so much, Veronica!

Our Celebrity Kits come with a $3,000 declared value, while our other Kits (Traditional, Clean-Only, and Christening) include a $2,000 declared value. Vintage Gown Restoration

Wedding gowns that are more than 20 years old require our Restoration Service rather than standard gown cleaning.
As gowns age, fabrics can naturally yellow and develop oxidation, discoloration, and set-in stains. These conditions require specialized treatments designed specifically for older and vintage gowns.

Restoration can help address:

Yellowing and discoloration
Brown oxidation spots and age-related stains
Aged or dull-looking fabrics
Vintage lace and delicate materials

Does My Dress Need Restoration?

20 years old or newer: Choose No Restoration unless your gown has significant age-related discoloration.

More than 20 years old: Restoration is required so your gown receives the specialized treatment appropriate for its age and condition.

Restoration results vary based on the gown's age, fabric, condition, previous cleaning, and storage history. Complete restoration or stain removal cannot be guaranteed.

x

Because of high demand, we're introducing a new service: photo documentation of your dress before it's meticulously packed into your display chest. These top-notch images provide reassurance that your dress is flawlessly cleaned and preserved, all while maintaining the integrity of your display chest and the validity of your 100-year warranty. You'll receive a minimum of four top-notch photos highlighting the hemline of your dress. You can opt to receive these images via text or email before we ship your dress back to your home. If there are any specific areas on your dress that require extra attention during processing, we'll provide additional images as needed.

Step-by-Step Process

How We Clean and Preserve Your Little One's Dress

Step 1

Choose Your Kit & Customize the Details

Start by selecting the Flower Girl | Christening Dress Preservation Kit and making it special. Choose to personalize the preservation chest with just a name and date, or go a step further with a photo, name, and date. Pick your processing time and add extra insurance if needed; $2,000 is already included.

Step 2

Your Shipping Kit is Prepared & Sent to You

Right after your order is confirmed, we get your shipping kit ready and send it your way. It includes a crush-proof, water-resistant container, a waterproof poly bag, a prepaid label, stain stickers, packing tape, an order form, and easy packing instructions, arriving at your door within 2–5 business days.

Step 3

Pack the Dress & Send It Over

Using the materials in your kit, carefully pack your little one’s dress following our step-by-step packing guide . Once everything is safely packed, stick the prepaid UPS label on the outside of the box and drop it off at your nearest UPS location, or schedule a pickup that works for you.

Step 4

The Dress Arrives & Gets Logged Into Our System

As soon as the dress reaches our facility, it's gently unboxed and entered into our secure system with a unique ID and barcode. From that point, you can track every step of the process through our GownTracker system, keeping you informed along the way.

Step 5

Gentle Deep Cleaning with SYSTEMK4 Technology

The dress is cleaned using our eco-friendly SYSTEMK4 process, a safe, non-toxic, fragrance-free alternative to traditional dry-cleaning. Using PRENETTK4 to pre-treat stained spots by hand, CLIPK4 to deep clean and refresh the fibers, and VINOYK4 to add an invisible protective finish, the entire cleaning process is gentle enough for even the most delicate fabrics.

Step 6

Minor Repairs Taken Care Of

Once cleaned, our seamstresses carefully go over the dress, securing any loose threads, delicate trims, or small embellishments. Every little detail is handled with the same care you'd give it yourself, and any larger repairs are always discussed with you before any work begins.

Step 7

Hand Steaming to Restore Its Shape

The dress is then gently hand steamed and pressed to smooth out any creases and bring back its original flow and shape. Extra care is taken with delicate fabrics and fine details so the dress looks fresh, neat, and just as lovely as the day it was worn.

Step 8

Carefully Wrapped and Preserved for Long-Term Protection

Your gown is gently wrapped in acid-neutral, lignin-free tissue paper and placed inside a premium preservation chest crafted from the same protective materials. A UV-coated viewing window allows safe display while preventing discoloration, creasing, and fabric damage over time.

Step 9

Carefully Packed & Sent Back to You

Once fully cleaned and preserved, the dress is securely packaged and shipped back to your door. You can expect it back within approximately 6–8 weeks, beautifully preserved and ready to be treasured for years to come.

Questions About Wedding Dress Preservation?

How do you preserve a christening gown?
